For many reasons, a disproportionate number of women never paddle in the stern (back) of a canoe, solo paddle, or portage a canoe. Maybe they feel they don't have the strength, skill, or confidence, or maybe they've just never tried.
Join our women-only paddling sessions for skills practice at your current level in a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free space. In small groups, we will work to address gaps in your skills and create a community of independent paddlers who are ready to take on their next paddling adventure.
Paddlers can earn an Introduction to Safe Canoeing certification. Specific skills covered will depend on the level(s) of paddlers.
Each skill session is 3 hours in length, including a skills assessment. Group sizes are small (maximum of 6 paddlers).
