We will be meeting at the Burritts Rapids lock station for a weekend of ORCKA instruction
Prerequisite Required: ORCKA Level 3During this course we will be focusing on boat control and paddling judgement while learning appropriate and efficient solo paddle strokes and precision maneuvers. Students can expect a strong focus on water safety and will participate in drills and emergency preparedness exercises, which involve canoe rescue techniques and swimming capability. Please plan on a full day starting at 8am - we should finish up around 5pm.
You are expected to bring your own canoe, paddle, PFD, etc. for paddling. Advise if you do not so arrangements can be made.
